BASICS WITH A TWIST

I decided to try out the slip dress trend this time, but with a little nature twist! The colorful backgrounds really made this simple but stylish outfit pop. My favorite part about these pieces is that they can be worn during so many occasions! Dress it down with the white tee for a day look, or go solo with the black slip for a night out clubbing.

Fun fact about this black slip: I originally bought a lace dress from H&M 5 years ago which had this black slip underneath it. The long years took a toll on the lace dress, but I saved the black slip thinking it would come in handy as a simple piece to layer with. Little did I know that I had an outfit that would become trendy in the next couple years!

I’ve been loving this choker from Choices lately, a small online store I found out about through a friend. It’s not elastic as I first assumed, since that’s what I had been seeing around, but the clip at the end makes it super comfortable and not itchy at all (a problem I have with many chokers). It looks simple, but creates the perfect detailed accent to any outfit.
